Project Manager - Product Development - Medical Device
Galway, Ireland

Role Overview:

• Position: Project Manager in Sustaining projects with our leading medical device client
• Scope: Includes product support from launch to end of life, spanning small tasks to large projects like process improvement, design change, and line extension.
• Team: Leads an interdisciplinary and international team, coordinating with various cross-functional teams (R&D, Design Assurance, Packaging, Regulatory, etc.).
• Travel: Estimated 50% international travel.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project/Program Management:

   • Develop and monitor overall project plans (cost, schedule, risk, performance).
   • Prioritize resources and manage technical challenges.
   • Ensure compliance with company policies (FDA, DEKRA).
   • Lead teams in decision-making and problem-solving.
   • Communicate project progress to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

2. Communication:

   • Manage team and cross-functional communications.
   • Elevate critical decisions to management boards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience:

  • Strong background in project management for new product activities.
  • Proven leadership in change and project management.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Project; Portuguese language skills are a plus.

• Education:

  • Minimum HETAC level 8 in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial, software, manufacturing).
  • Preferably a Masters in Project Management.

• Experience:

  • 4+ years in project management.
  • Experience in medical device development is advantageous
