Controls Technician &nbsp; Our Client is seeking applications for the position of Engineering Controls Technician for their site in Mayo for their weekend shift &nbsp; The main focus of this position will be to work under the guidance of the Electrical/Controls Engineer in the area of design, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of the electrical and control systems of both new and existing equipment in the plant. &nbsp; Specific responsibilities will include:

<li>Process Support: - the position will provide specialized technical support in the day-to-day operation of the assigned manufacturing processes, specifically supporting the various control systems. This work will involve troubleshooting problems encountered in the daily operations of the equipment.</li>
<li>Process Improvements: - the position will identify and implement areas of process improvement in line with Lean TPI initiatives. The position will lead small teams in achieving these improvements. The role will also provide relevant specialized support for the implementation of machine upgrades performed by Project Engineering.</li>
<li>Support introduction of new equipment: - the position will liaise with Project Engineering and support the implementation of new manufacturing equipment, specifically in the area of Electrical and Controls.</li>
<li>Support introduction of new products: the position will support the introduction of new products in the assigned area.</li>
<li>Maintenance: providing technical support to maintenance staff to ensure that equipment is properly maintained from a controls perspective.</li>
<li>Safety review - ensure design and implementation of any process change is in compliance with safety standards and regulations.</li>
<li>Environmental standards - ensure any work performed adheres to the environmental standards subscribed to by the plant (ISO 14001)</li>
<li>Training: both provide and receive necessary training in order to perform required responsibilities.</li>
</ul>
&nbsp; Essential Qualifications/Experience:

<li>Fully qualified electrician and/OR Diploma in Electrical Engineering</li>
<li>6-8 years' experience working in a Controls/PLC manufacturing environment</li>

Technical Knowledge and Skills

<li>Networking of computers and machines</li>

Controls Technician   

Job Summary: To assist the Operations department in improving the manufacturing of product and develop the most optimum molding process and tooling and automation solutions which meet or exceed customer requirements. This person will provide the company with the technical resources to ensure that current and future projects are run in accordance with customer specifications and in-house specifications and standards. Reports directly to the Engineering Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Responsible for the introduction of all new products into the company and compiling standard specifications for each process and monitoring all existing production to standard specifications.</li>
<li>Responsible for executing projects relating to new products, the continuous improvement program, lean program &amp; line extensions for existing customers &amp; products.</li>
<li>Responsible for process optimization of existing processes.</li>
<li>Ensures process optimization using statistical techniques.</li>
<li>Works with the Production Group leaders (PGL&rsquo;s) in troubleshooting processing problems.</li>
<li>Establishes relationships with the customers and Equipment/ Raw Material suppliers in pursuit of continuous improvement and on-going business development.</li>
<li>Attends schedules and facilitates internal meetings to help establish priorities and assign tasks.</li>
<li>Solves, in conjunction with the Quality department, customer related problems/issues as needed and is responsible for closeout of internal quality and CAPA related actions.</li>
<li>Instructs others, formally or informally, regarding manufacturing related skills or knowledge and assist in the training of employees on new processes or systems introduced to the company.</li>
<li>Coordinate the development of documentation in the Production and Technical areas in line with ISO9001 and ISO 13485 requirements, and review the systems with the Group Leaders and the Quality department on a regular basis to ensure conformance to same.</li>
<li>Communicate on a regular basis (or as appropriate) with external suppliers of materials and equipment and provide regular feedback on any issues to the management team. Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements training, and regulations.</li>

Basic Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Must have a minimum of a National Diploma Level 7 or Level 8 with significant experience in Plastics Engineering (Preferably a Degree in Plastics Engineering) and at least 5 years&rsquo; experience in the injection molding industry.</li>
<li>Must have a very good knowledge of injection mold tooling and design.</li>
<li>Must have a very good knowledge of injection molding (standard process and Multi component), processing, ancillary equipment, Robots and automation systems.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
<ul>
<li>Preferably worked in either the medical, packaging or technological industries.</li>
<li>Must have dealt with Customers in a previous employment.</li>
<li>Preferably have some knowledge of Real time monitoring systems.</li>
<li>Must have an in-depth knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of experiments (DOE) and demonstrate use of same.</li>
<li>Must have good data analysis capabilities &amp; be familiar with statistical software, (ideally Minitab).</li>
<li>Should have a good knowledge of the principles of WCM, JIT, SMED, and Kaizen.</li>
<li>Must have knowledge in computer systems; integrated manufacturing systems; word processing and spreadsheets. (Also knowledge of MFG Pro would be a distinct advantage).</li>

Job Description
Overview: The primary function of this role is to lead or contribute to projects focused on developing strategies related to chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) for combination drug-device products. Responsibilities include oversight of method development and validation, compendial method verification and transfer, specification/acceptance criteria development, stability testing, out-of-specification (OOS) investigations, post-approval manufacturing changes, verification of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) components to recognized compendial standards, and API vendor qualifications and audits.

<li>Review technical data and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory expectations (e.g., stability data, lot release data such as HPLC, particulate, and dissolution testing).</li>
