Location: Galway
Position Overview:
Our client, a leading medical device company, is seeking a Process Development Technician on a contract basis. This role will be a combination of cleanroom and lab-based activities, focusing on the setup of equipment and testing of products to support the development of new medical devices. The successful candidate will work closely with a cross-functional team and be integral to the introduction of a new product at the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleanroom Activities:
Set up and prepare equipment (including new equipment) in the cleanroom environment in preparation for product builds.
Ensure compliance with all cleanroom protocols and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment in the cleanroom area.
Lab-Based Activities:
Conduct product testing to gather data and insights to support decision-making on the project.
Perform testing and analysis to ensure products meet quality and regulatory standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
Tabulate test results and data to provide actionable insights for the team.
Prepare calibration and tooling qualification documents for equipment used in the development process.
Maintain accurate and thorough records in line with company policies and industry standards.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with various departments and teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Communicate effectively across teams to gather information, address challenges, and make data-driven decisions.
Product Development Support:
Support the introduction of a new product to the site, contributing to the overall project goals and timelines.
Assist with troubleshooting issues in both the cleanroom and lab environments.
Key Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Degree or Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Life Sciences, or related disciplines).
Experience:
Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment, ideally within the medical device or pharmaceutical industries.
Experience with product testing, data analysis, and equipment setup.
Knowledge of calibration and tooling qualification processes.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in lab testing equipment and cleanroom protocols.
Familiarity with data analysis tools and software.
Experience with preparing and maintaining technical documentation.
Soft Skills:
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across different functions.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
