Maintenance Supervisor
Our client is a global healthcare leader with a portfolio of life-changing technologies spans the spectrum of healthcare, with leading businesses and products in diagnostics, medical devices, nutritional and branded generic medicines.
They are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor who manages the activities, manpower and resources within their Maintenance area to ensure support is provided to meet the department and company goals.
Main Responsibilities :
- Supervises the activities, manpower and resources within the Maintenance area to ensure support is provided to meet the department and company goals.
- Manages a Team of 10 experienced technicians across a 3-shift cycle
- Responds to complaints on equipment, work orders, equipment availability and downtime due to equipment issues, plans and implements projects and processes needed to ensure equipment availability runs to agreed target, and that supplies, and spare parts are kept to agreed levels
- Co-ordinates with engineers to facilitate research, development and/or product and process improvements and enhancements to support business needs.
- Implements policies and procedures to maintain production equipment compliance and financial compliance.
Ideally you will have:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Manufacturing/Engineering/Science (NFQ) level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline
- 4+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Maintenance leadership experience (people & equipment management)
- Strong understanding of high-precision, non-automated manufacturing equipment
- Mechanical or electrical background – no requirement to be a certified electrician/fitter
- Automation experience desirable
- Experience with Maximo (Maintenance Management System) is a plus
- Must be strategic-minded and comfortable with a planned, structured maintenance environment
- Used to working with high standards (e.g., 99.9% uptime)
