Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
We’re looking for a talented Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on the design, development, and improvement of mechanical and electromechanical systems across a variety of applications. You'll play a key part in transforming innovative ideas into reliable solutions that enhance safety, performance, and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, verify, and validate mechanical and electromechanical systems—ranging from materials and instruments to complex machinery and energy systems.
- Lead or contribute to projects focused on improving systems, processes, and facilities with an emphasis on performance, safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support the transition of technologies and products from R&D into scalable manufacturing.
- Provide expert input and recommendations on technological approaches and engineering solutions.
- Manage or deliver assigned projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes.
ABOUT YOU:
You’re an experienced engineering professional who thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering results. You bring a strong technical background along with the ability to work independently and lead aspects of project delivery.
- A university degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline; an advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience (or 2 years with an advanced degree) in mechanical or electromechanical system development.
- Deep understanding of engineering principles across areas such as materials, control systems, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, or automation.
- Proven ability to manage or support full project lifecycles, from concept to implementation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of driving process or product improvements.
- Experience working cross-functionally and communicating with senior stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior team members, and potentially lead small project teams.
