We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our production equipment running at its best in a high-volume manufacturing environment (SMT / Clean Room / Packaging). You'll be the person on the floor who spots the issue, solves it fast, and keeps the line moving while helping us build a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
This is a great fit for someone who's technically curious, enjoys troubleshooting real equipment (not just theory), and wants to grow their skills in a regulated, high-tech manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain production equipment to maximize quality, output, and yield, in line with cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines
- Apply root cause analysis and structured problem-solving to troubleshoot line issues and repair equipment efficiently
- Carry out preventative maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to flag and resolve operational issues
- Complete documentation clearly and accurately, following Good Documentation Practice (GDP)
- Get involved in continuous improvement projects that drive efficiency and process gains
- Support the commissioning of new production equipment, including site visits and assessments
- Help manage spare parts stock to keep the line supplied and ready
- Cross-train new Manufacturing Technicians as needed
- Travel occasionally to support new equipment installs, assessments, or training
- Take on other duties as they come up no two days are quite the same
- Support ongoing compliance with quality and regulatory requirements
- Follow all Health & Safety legislation and site procedures
- Strong mechanical technical skillset
- A compliance-first mindset with sharp attention to detail
- Comfortable working to procedures and completing documentation accurately
- Good communicator, able to influence and collaborate across teams
- Self-starter who can work independently
- Open to shift work
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing
- Experience with automation, robotics, and PLCs
- Background in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with pneumatics, electrical systems, hydraulics, vision systems, and workshop machining
- Familiarity with process capability concepts
- Understanding of MSA (Measurement System Analysis) and GR&R (Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility)
- Exposure to FAT, SAT, and IOPQ processes for equipment qualification.
