This job:
Our client manufactures a range of orthopedic devices designed to meet market demands. Devices include a range of hip and knee joint replacements, extremity, spinal, osteosynthesis and soft tissue repair implants as well as their associated instrumentation
They are looking for a skilled and proactive Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of equipment, with a focus on automation and industrial robot programming.
This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery, implementing preventive maintenance strategies, and driving automation projects to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Perform day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with industrial machinery and robotics systems.
- Program, optimize, and maintain industrial robots for manufacturing applications.
- Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices in maintenance and automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial machinery.
- Proven expertise in industrial robot programming (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, or similar platforms).
- Familiarity with automation systems, PLC programming, and HMI design is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Certification in industrial robotics or automation systems.
