Quality Engineer – Join a Leading Company in County Clare, Ireland
Are you an experienced Quality Engineer looking to make an impact in a dynamic and growing company? This exciting opportunity allows you to support the Quality Assurance Manager in the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). If you are passionate about quality and have a keen eye for detail, this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- QMS Development & Maintenance: Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Inspection & Release: Perform incoming inspections of materials and components, ensuring they meet the required specifications. Approve and release finished products based on quality standards.
- Supplier & BOM Management: Maintain and update the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and related supplier documents. Ensure the Bill of Materials (BOM) is accurate for all manufacturing products.
- Root Cause Investigations: Lead investigations into product or process issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA): Coordinate and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) activities, ensuring effective follow-up and evaluation of their success.
- SCAR Management: Work closely with suppliers to manage and resolve Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs), ensuring quality improvements.
- Internal & External Audits: Lead and assist in internal and external audits, ensuring that quality standards are upheld across the board. Support customer and regulatory body audits as required.
- Risk & Failure Analysis: Lead risk assessments and failure mode effects analysis (pFMEA) to identify potential quality risks and improve processes.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that customer requirements are incorporated into product functional specifications and maintain accurate non-conformance material reports (NCMA).
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to problem solve, implement improvements, and support reworks and change controls.
- Management Review Support: Assist in preparing slides for management reviews, presenting key quality metrics and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Degree: A degree in business, science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a regulated environment, with knowledge of ISO 13485:2016, GMP/GDP regulations, and quality management systems.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, train, and build effective teams.
- Team Player: Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Audit Experience: Experience in conducting quality system audits, with a focus on continuous improvement.
