C&Q Engineer – 9-Month Contract (Westport, Ireland)

Exciting Opportunity for a Commissioning & Qualification Engineer!

An industry-leading pharmaceutical company in Westport, Ireland, is seeking a Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) Engineer to join its dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and approve Qualification documents for Direct Impact Systems (Facility, Utility, and Equipment).

• Create Commissioning Test documents for Non-Direct Impact Systems.

• Ensure compliance with cGMP and cGDP regulations at all times.

• Conduct system commissioning and qualification activities, including testing, troubleshooting, and reporting.

• Support Clean Utility tie-ins to existing systems, including system upgrades (e.g., Purified Water skid enhancements).

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and adherence to deadlines.

• Maintain and follow a risk-based approach to commissioning and qualification.

• Utilise project management tools to support planning and execution.

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of Commissioning and Qualification experience, ideally in pharmaceutical or medical device industries.

• Hands-on experience with clean utilities, hygienic piping, process instrumentation, and controls.

• Strong knowledge of sanitary equipment and facility qualification.

• Experience in writing and reviewing technical documentation to high standards.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a proactive and adaptable approach.
