Your Role:

As a Global Senior Technical Manager, you will:

• Lead and Support Teams: Manage global controls commissioning teams to ensure consistency in approach and execution.

• Technical Expertise: Be a subject matter expert (SME) in mission-critical systems commissioning, covering BMS, EPMS, BAS, PLC, and microprocessor systems.

• Project Management: Plan and execute mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning/handover phases.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Work with cross-functional teams, vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.

• Safety and Compliance: Align all activities with PTW, SSOW, and LOTO requirements.

• Lean Management: Implement streamlined processes to enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute commissioning strategies for assets from planning to handover.

• Manage system completion boundaries, cabling techniques, and commissioning packages.

• Oversee documentation management to ensure robust project foundations.

• Set clear milestones and logical start-up sequences for equipment commissioning.

• Provide technical solutions to overcome challenges during the commissioning process.

• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to meet quality objectives.

• Ensure efficient vendor and contractor collaboration.

What We Are Looking For:

Technical Expertise:

• SME-level knowledge of control systems including:

  • Open/Closed Loop Systems

  • PLC/RTU Systems

  • SCADA & HMI Systems

  • Communication Protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet, etc.)

  • System Integration and Programming

• Experience with commissioning methodologies: loop tuning, start-up requirements, QA/QC inspections.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Control Systems, Mechatronics, Electrical, etc.) with 10+ years of experience.

• Trade background candidates with 15+ years of experience in commissioning will also be considered.

• Project Management Certification or equivalent experience in planning and execution.

• Experience across various industries such as oil & gas, power, pharmaceuticals, and data centers.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in engineering or project management.

• Professional Engineer certification.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

• Commercial awareness and stakeholder management experience.
