If so, this is your opportunity to lead the operational growth of a cutting-edge, family-owned company that is making significant strides in the medical device industry.

As the Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in scaling the production operations to meet increasing demand, all while maintaining the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation. You’ll be at the helm of a talented team, working alongside senior leadership to shape the future of the company and drive its expansion in the coming years.

With a strong commitment to continuous learning and a collaborative, flexible work culture, this is a chance to be part of a thriving company where your leadership will directly influence the success and growth of the business. If you’re ready to take on a challenging, rewarding role and make a lasting difference, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in manufacturing operations leadership, with experience managing production teams and meeting performance KPIs. Prior experience in regulated industries (medical devices, aerospace, automotive, etc.) is preferred.
  • Hands-On Leadership: A leader who is actively involved on the shop floor, with experience in toolmaking, machining, or similar trades. Must be comfortable working directly with operators and technicians to drive operational improvements.
  • Lean & Continuous Improvement: Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. A practical application of these principles to drive process improvements is essential.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify operational bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions quickly.
  • ERP & MES Experience: Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., M1) and experience in developing or optimizing manufacturing execution systems is a plus.

Personal Attributes:

  • Collaborative Leadership: A team-oriented leader who thrives in cross-functional collaboration. Will work closely with teams in Quality Assurance, R&D, Maintenance, and senior leadership to achieve operational goals.
  • Growth-Oriented: A leader with a growth mindset, ready to embrace challenges and lead the company through its next phase of expansion. Must be proactive in addressing issues and driving change.
  • Hands-On and Practical: A no-nonsense, results-driven leader who leads by example and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Calm Under Pressure: Able to manage multiple priorities and remain composed during high-pressure situations.
