Senior Principal AI/Data Science Engineer
Reports to Senior Director Digital Transformation
As a Senior Principal Artificial Intelligence Engineer in our medical device clients Business Unit, you will lead AI innovation and execution for digital initiatives, enhancing product capabilities and business growth. You will develop an AI/ML plan for the Digital Transformation Office and collaborate with cross-functional teams on AI platform and governance strategies. We are looking for expertise in integrating AI into products and operations, especially in healthcare or MedTech. Experience in computer vision algorithm optimization is also essential. This role will help the BU to use data and AI to solve problems for clinicians and patients with this disease.
Requirements
- Define and execute an AI/ML/data roadmap: Align technology roadmaps, establish data strategy, implement governance and MLOps processes, manage risks, and create scalable architectures.
- Clinical Needs Translation: Assist cross-functional teams in convert clinical needs into actionable requirements, ensuring AI/ML solutions meet technical and user outcomes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present updates and technical roadmaps to stakeholders, aligning with strategic objectives.
- Platform Architectures: Develops edge to cloud architecture for training, inferencing, and MLOps infrastructure. Collaborates with others on the overall data architecture.
- Knowledge Sharing & Best Practices: Facilitate knowledge sharing, discuss best practices, and promote innovation culture.
- Continuous Improvement: Assess AI/ML maturity levels, drive initiatives, and scale use cases, data, and algorithms.
- Deploy Optimized Models: Create and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems, optimize performance, and monitor results.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 8 years of experience
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python
- Hands-on experience in establishing data strategy and data processing pipelines
- Hands-on experience in state-of-the-art Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision in extracting insights from images in real-time
- Strong written and verbal communication & presentation skills
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis such as SQL and Spark.
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS).
- Strong security and data-privacy mindset
- Source Control systems Git/GitHub experience
