Position Summary

As part of the Engineering Project Delivery Team, this contract position is responsible for all activities required to support project scoping, commissioning, qualification, validation, and start-up operations at the site.

General Activities:

• Lead the delivery of engineering projects on time, on budget, and in alignment with all safety and quality goals.
• Scope new engineering projects and secure capital approval.
• Lead, support, and participate in commissioning and qualification activities.
• Provide updates and influence management and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with specialist trades, departments, and project interfaces (internal and external).
• Manage third-party relationships (suppliers, service providers, customers).
• Organize and maintain project documentation.
• Perform cost estimation, tracking, updating, auditing, and forecasting.
• Create, track, update, and review project schedules.
• Report on project progress and manage risks.
• Conduct constructability, maintainability, and operability studies.
• Manage project resources.
• Assess current conditions of systems (structural, E&I, safety, permitting, documentation).
• Organize and coordinate project meetings and appointments.
• Deliver project-related training as required.
• Ensure project completion in accordance with Change Management Procedures.
• Conduct retrospective reviews and lessons learned post-project.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional teams as needed.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe execution of job activities, adhering to environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Perform tasks delegated by the Manager in accordance with procedures, values, and standards.
• Maintain compliance with corporate, cGMP, and EHS requirements.
• Adhere to engineering and site procedures at all times.
• Complete all documentation in accordance with site procedures and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Prioritize and schedule activities based on business needs.
• Ensure completion of personal training per site procedures.
• Support studies led by Operations, Quality Validation, MSAT, and Facilities.
• Support project-related external site visits.
• Lead by example and consistently uphold high standards.

Leadership Responsibilities / Individual Contribution:

• Report to Principal Project Delivery Engineer / Engineering Manager.
• Maintain awareness of daily activities in all manufacturing areas.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and open communication.
• Lead investigations and cross-functional project teams as needed.
• Demonstrate initiative, motivation, and teamwork.
• Share and encourage ideas for improvement.
• Act as a strategic partner with all other departments.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

• Third-level qualification in Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Science.

Desirable:

• Experience in delivering engineering projects within a GMP-regulated environment.
• Qualification in Project Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with SAP, LIMS, and/or other business systems.
• Training in 6-Sigma, Kepner-Tregoe, or similar methodologies.
• Experience working within an engineering team in a multinational corporate environment.
