The Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading advanced manufacturing organisation operating in a highly regulated, high-performance environment. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced production settings where quality, compliance, and continuous improvement are central to success.

As Manager, Production Operations, you will lead day-to-day manufacturing activity while also shaping team capability, driving operational performance, and influencing broader site strategy. This is a highly visible role with real ownership of delivery, people leadership, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, coach, and develop production teams to deliver on safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets
  • Build a strong performance culture through effective people leadership and engagement
  • Own workforce planning, hiring, and talent development within your area
  • Manage operating budgets and optimise use of resources across production
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean / Six Sigma / Kaizen methodologies
  • Identify root causes of performance issues and implement sustainable improvements
  • Partner closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and H&S functions
  • Support preventative maintenance and equipment improvement initiatives
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with global regulatory standards (FDA, HPRA, and others)
  • Act as a key escalation point for manufacturing issues with site-wide impact

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Degree with 9+ years’ experience OR Master’s with 7+ years’ experience
  • Strong leadership experience in manufacturing or production environments
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver against operational KPIs
  • Experience across supply chain, engineering, quality, and health & safety disciplines
  • Strong Lean / Six Sigma / Kaizen experience in continuous improvement environments
  • Structured problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle or similar)
  • Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments and audit processes
  • Background in medical devices, pharma, biotech, aerospace, or similar industries
