Senior Process Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable EHS &amp; Facilities Officer to join our expanding team at our HVAC manufacturing and fabrication site in Newmarket, Co. Cork. This role involves creating and executing initiatives to maintain a safe, compliant work environment and ensuring the effective upkeep of our facilities. This position will work closely with our current EHS Advisor.
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Design, implement, and sustain EHS programs that align with Irish and EU safety regulations.</li>
<li>Perform routine safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential risks.</li>
<li>Analyze safety incidents and follow up with corrective measures.</li>
<li>Create and present safety training programs for staff.</li>
<li>Oversee the facility&rsquo;s maintenance operations, including preventative care, repairs, and renovations.</li>
<li>Supervise janitorial services and general facility cleanliness.</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to environmental compliance standards and permits.</li>
<li>Develop a waste management system for the facility.</li>
<li>Manage budgets related to EHS and facility maintenance expenses.</li>
<li>Keep updated on current EHS and facility management best practices.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Required Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety &amp; Health, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li>
<li>At least five years of experience in an EHS and facility management role within a manufacturing setting.</li>
<li>NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health; a NEBOSH Certificate in Process Safety Management is advantageous.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in creating and managing EHS programs.</li>
<li>Background in conducting safety audits and inspections.</li>
<li>Comprehensive knowledge of Irish and EU EHS regulatory standards.</li>
<li>Experience with facility operations and maintenance management.</li>
<li>Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>
<li>Proficiency in MS Office applications.</li>
