The Role A great opportunity to take on the role Operational Excellence Manager for a Medical Device client based in Spiddal Galway. You'll spearhead my clients innovative Growtth® program, driving transformative change through continuous improvement initiatives. You'll lead with full autonomy, shaping the future of their operations and fostering a culture of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Operational Excellence (GROWTTH®) program, surpassing targets through cross-functional teamwork.
  • Manage annual cost reduction project (IMPACT) for planned savings.
  • Direct GROWTTH® events (Kaizens, VSM, SMED, A3, 5S) and standardize outcomes.
  • Enhance company-wide skills in Lean Operations and EXCELL Behaviours through training and coaching.
  • Promote GROWTTH® program and provide updates
  • Ensure continuous improvement team's capabilities and foster positive team atmosphere.
  • Implement changes compliant with QMS, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to EHS and Energy Management system improvements.
  • Prioritize EHS compliance for safety and risk mitigation.
  • Uphold QMS compliance and stay updated on Operations Excellence advancements.
  • Adapt to additional duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering or related field.
  • Qualification in Lean Operations (MSc, Black Belt or equivalent).

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of ten years of progressive experience with medical device manufacturing in an engineering and production environment.
  • Five or more years in a leadership position leading the implementation of operations excellence.
  • Successful experience leading and developing cross-functional teams and organizational talent.
  • Experience in a metric driven culture.
  • Experience with ISO standards including ISO 13485, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
