Location: Mayo, Ireland
Purpose

  • Oversee the MES (POMSnet) system, ensuring the creation and upkeep of recipes and worksheets for the Westport location.
  • Diagnose and resolve MES and SAP issues related to recipe execution and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and maintain MES recipes, worksheets, equipment specifications, and material specifications, including phase transition logic.
  • Draft, execute, and validate test protocols, risk assessments, and system documentation.
  • Ensure that cleaning, equipment, and product procedures are properly integrated with MES processes.
  • Create training materials and provide training for site personnel regarding their MES roles and facilitate system access.
  • Engage in MES knowledge exchanges and governance meetings, addressing issues and implementing workarounds and fixes.
  • Coordinate with the global MES team on necessary system enhancements for the Westport site.
  • Support other MES users to maintain business continuity.
  • Participate in new product introduction projects, ensuring MES system or hardware needs are considered from the start.
  • Keep fellow recipe authors informed about MES updates.
  • Document all activities in compliance with cGMP standards.
  • Cross-train team members and assist in onboarding new team members.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, environmental, and production systems.
  • Comply with all EHS standards, procedures, and policies.

Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in manufacturing, engineering, or a related business discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in recipe authoring, preferably with POMSnet.
  • Proficiency in MES applications and configuration, including interfacing (ideally POMSnet).
  • Experience in batch processing operations within an FDA/HPRA regulated industry, with a solid understanding of cGMP and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
  • Strong IT system knowledge.
  • Experience with SAP, particularly in MM, PP, and IM modules, is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and focus, ensuring strict adherence to procedures at all times.
