Location : Sligo
Summary :
We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing engineering support to our manufacturing operations, optimizing processes, and helping the team meet production targets. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that equipment, tools, and processes meet production standards while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency. Shift work is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive technical projects to improve or develop new processes and products, supporting both current and future product lines.
  • Apply engineering principles to solve a variety of complex problems, implementing innovative solutions as needed.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, and technical teams to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor equipment performance, address issues affecting product quality, and troubleshoot production setbacks.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on reducing cycle times and operational costs.
  • Support compliance with GLP, GMP, safety, and environmental standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment, ensuring it meets operational goals and is functioning correctly.
  • Work closely with external contractors and service providers, coordinating maintenance, inspections, and upgrades as required.
  • Help implement and sustain a culture of Business Excellence, identifying and acting on opportunities for process optimization.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant scientific discipline, providing foundational knowledge in engineering, scientific, and quality principles.
  • At least two years of experience in an engineering, scientific, or quality role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in diagnostics manufacturing or a relevant post-graduate qualification is a plus.
