Principal Process Automation Engineer

As a Senior Principal Engineer – Process Automation, you will provide technical leadership and expertise in automation to support manufacturing operations. This role involves mentoring a team of engineers, designing automation solutions, ensuring compliance with GMP and safety guidelines, and driving continuous improvement in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor process automation engineers.
• Design and implement automation solutions, including DCS, PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
• Manage process control system changes, execute Computer System Validation (CSV) activities, and resolve automation-related issues.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance of automation systems.
• Provide technical oversight on engineering projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Research and implement new control strategies and technologies.

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in configuring and troubleshooting automation systems (e.g., DeltaV, Siemens, OSI PI).
• Experience in mentoring and providing technical guidance.
• Strong skills in communication, teamwork, and project management.
• Knowledge of GMP and regulated environments.

Additional Preferences:

• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (e.g., Syncade).
• Expertise in change control, deviation processes, and storage/retrieval systems.
