About the Job
We are continuously transforming our product portfolio by introducing innovative products, packaging, and manufacturing solutions. As an Automation Engineer, you will support this transformation by implementing, maintaining, and optimizing automation systems across manufacturing and packaging operations.
In this role, you will work closely with engineering, operations, quality, and external partners to support new product introductions, troubleshoot automation and process issues, and ensure reliable, efficient, and safe production. The ideal candidate is technically capable, solutions-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
Support the evaluation, implementation, and troubleshooting of automation systems for new and existing products, packaging, and production lines
Assist in the execution of new technologies, processes, and automation solutions in collaboration with engineering and operations teams
Provide technical automation support to manufacturing and packaging operations, including line extensions, promotions, and product changes
Help ensure continuity of supply by supporting production capacity, equipment availability, and automation reliability
Support raw material and packaging readiness by ensuring automation and control systems meet production requirements
Participate in productivity and efficiency initiatives to reduce downtime, improve line performance, and lower operating costs
Support the execution of technical project plans, ensuring automation deliverables are completed on time and meet operational requirements
Assist in maintaining product and packaging quality, supporting compliance with technical standards, safety requirements, and operational policies
Support equipment trials, prototype testing, commissioning, and validation activities
Participate in cross-functional technical projects supporting innovation in manufacturing, packaging, and process technologies
Support reviews of new product and packaging performance, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions where required
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Food Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Hands-on experience with automation and control systems such as:
PLCs, HMIs, SCADA
Sensors, drives, robotics, or vision systems
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and implement effective solutions
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
