About the Role
This role will work closely with engineering, operations, quality, and external partners to support new product introductions, troubleshoot automation and process issues, and ensure reliable, efficient, and safe production.
The ideal candidate is a technically capable automation professional with strong problem-solving skills and experience supporting process control systems in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of automation and control systems across manufacturing and packaging operations
Assist in the introduction of new products, processes, and technologies by supporting automation system integration and commissioning
Provide technical automation support to production teams to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency
Help maintain production continuity by supporting equipment availability, control system performance, and process reliability
Participate in troubleshooting activities, root-cause investigations, and implementation of corrective actions for automation or process issues
Support productivity and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, improving performance, and optimizing manufacturing processes
Assist with the execution of automation-related aspects of technical projects, ensuring solutions meet operational, safety, and quality requirements
Support equipment trials, commissioning, validation, and start-up activities for new or modified production systems
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, quality, and external suppliers
Contribute to documentation, change management, and compliance with internal technical standards and safety procedures
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or related Engineering discipline
Experience working with industrial automation and control systems within a manufacturing or process environment
Knowledge of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems or similar industrial control technologies
Experience with batch process control systems, particularly Rockwell FactoryTalk Batch, or strong familiarity with ISA-88 (S88) batch control principles, is highly desirable
Exposure to industrial automation technologies such as sensors, drives, robotics, vision systems, or instrumentation is beneficial
Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of cross-functional technical teams
Good communication and documentation skills
Familiarity with standard office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office) and basic technical documentation
