Our client, a leading facilities management provider, is currently seeking an experienced M&E Lead to oversee the technical facilities operations within a large commercial campus environment in Dublin.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and optimisation of all mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems across the site. The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating maintenance activities, managing vendors, and ensuring the facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in line with industry best practices.
The Role
The M&E Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day management of mechanical and electrical services across the site, ensuring that all maintenance activities, projects, and vendor works are delivered to the highest standard.
Working as part of a wider facilities team, you will act as a technical point of contact for engineering matters, helping to coordinate maintenance programmes, organise contractor activity, and ensure all service tickets and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and building services systems across the site.
Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes to ensure assets are maintained in line with manufacturer recommendations and statutory requirements.
Coordinate contractors and specialist vendors, ensuring works are completed safely and in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs.
Monitor and manage reactive maintenance tickets, ensuring issues are prioritised and resolved efficiently.
Maintain accurate records within the CAFM/CMMS system, ensuring asset data and maintenance history are up to date.
Review maintenance reports and identify any potential issues relating to asset performance or reliability.
Support commissioning and handover activities for building systems and fit-out projects.
Participate in design and project meetings where required to support technical decision making.
Develop strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and client stakeholders.
Support the development and management of the onsite engineering and technical team.
Promote sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives across the site.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards and support a culture of safe working practices.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in facilities management or building services
Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
Experience managing planned and reactive maintenance programmes
Experience working with CAFM or CMMS systems
Proven ability to coordinate contractors and service providers
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to prioritise and manage maintenance activities across a busy site environment
Desirable Experience
Experience working in large commercial or corporate facilities
Knowledge of asset management and lifecycle planning
Experience with energy management and sustainability initiatives
Previous experience supporting engineering teams or technical operations
