Job Title: MDR Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Galway, Ireland (Onsite)

Type: Full-time, 39 hours per week
Duration: 12-month Rolling contract

Are you passionate about medical device manufacturing and looking to make an impact? This is a unique opportunity for an experienced MDR Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development of state-of-the-art manufacturing lines in the medical device industry. Based in Galway, Ireland, you’ll be working alongside cross-functional teams, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while driving innovation in a highly regulated environment. If you have a knack for problem-solving, are data-driven, and have strong project management skills, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Optimise Manufacturing Processes: Develop efficient and compliant manufacturing processes, layouts, and equipment setups for medical devices with an electrical functionality component.
  • Ensure Quality and Compliance: Implement inspection and testing protocols within production plans and ensure all processes meet quality management system requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Data-Driven Problem Solving: Use scientific methodologies like DMAIC, 5 Whys, and statistical techniques to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Collaborate and Lead Projects: Work within a cross-functional team to align on project goals, drive critical paths, monitor progress, and communicate updates effectively.
  • Innovate and Improve: Identify opportunities to enhance processes and systems, using your in-depth analysis to recommend improvements.
  • Mentor and Support Teams: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers or other team members, reviewing work and ensuring project success.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Medical Device Manufacturing Expertise: Proven experience in process development and manufacturing of medical devices, with a strong advantage for those with electrical product experience.
  • Problem Solving & Critical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to use data-driven approaches, apply statistical techniques, and solve complex issues.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience working in cross-functional teams, with solid skills in communication, risk management, and project planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (or advanced degree).
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in medical device manufacturing (or 2 years with an advanced degree).
