Shift: Mid Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM; Friday, 2:00 PM–8:00 PM (39 hours weekly)
Shift Premium: 20%
Overview
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Line Support Technician to join their Operations team. Reporting to the Production Team Leader, this role focuses on optimizing performance, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will also provide leadership support as a stand-in Team Leader when needed and play a key role in mentoring and upskilling team members.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee work station and line performance, ensuring effective management practices and behaviors.
- Maintain an active presence on the production line to monitor processes, address deviations, and ensure adherence to high standards.
- Implement daily improvements (Kaizen) to enhance manufacturing efficiency and stability.
- Collaborate with operators to uphold quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive and support Kaizen activities and yield improvement projects to reduce unit costs.
- Provide leadership coverage as a Team Leader when required.
- Assist with training production staff and maintaining accurate training records.
- Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with manufacturing best practices.
- Address downtime incidents promptly and ensure smooth resolution.
- Represent the team in KPI updates and meetings, communicating key performance metrics.
- Engage with team members to resolve process, material, and operational challenges.
- Contribute to problem-solving efforts, including non-conformance reports (NCRs), CAPAs, and investigations.
- Collaborate with engineering and other departments on new product introductions and equipment integration.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- A Level 7 or higher qualification in a technical, engineering, or science-related field is preferred.
- Experience in a medical device manufacturing or cleanroom environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of catheter and stent manufacturing is desirable.
- Familiarity with EH&S practices and GMP standards.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
