Senior Project Manager (Contract)
Location: Hybrid (Minimum 1-3 days per week onsite)
Contract Duration: 12 months initially (potential for extension based on performance)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the Aortic Programme within the Vascular Division. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and development of an innovative Aortic Endovascular Repair device, a covered stent product designed to treat aortic aneurysms and dissections. This is a unique opportunity to work on a cutting-edge medical device project that addresses unmet patient needs, spanning the full product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams through all stages of the product lifecycle, from concept to commercialisation.
- Develop and execute project plans, ensuring milestones are achieved within timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Oversee project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing strategies to address challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, regulatory, and clinical teams to ensure seamless integration of project deliverables.
- Provide leadership and direction to team members, fostering accountability and alignment with project objectives.
- Utilise proven project management methodologies to track progress, report on project status, and drive decisions.
- Act as a key liaison between stakeholders to ensure clarity, communication, and successful outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 7 years’ project management experience, with at least 2-3 years in the medical device industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Proven leadership abilities, including motivating and guiding cross-functional teams.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Life Sciences, or Business preferred).
