Health & Safety Specialist
Location: Limerick, Ireland
A fantastic opportunity has opened for a dynamic Health and Safety Specialist to join the dedicated Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) team. This role will play a key part in shaping, maintaining, and continuously improving the HSE programs at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Limerick.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and enhancement of health and safety initiatives, including Safety Mindsets, Training, and Awareness programs.
- Offer expert advice and technical support to ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, corporate guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Foster a safety-first culture through integrating safety protocols and encouraging open dialogue around safety.
- Design and deliver effective health and safety training sessions.
- Apply knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards to meet project-specific requirements.
- Analyze and review site safety performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist with site audits, self-assessments, management reviews, and both internal and external audits.
- Partner with manufacturing and technical teams to manage health and safety aspects of ongoing and new processes.
- Collaborate with both internal stakeholders (e.g., global HSE teams, other sites) and external partners (e.g., vendors, academic institutions) as necessary.
- Actively participate in site and HSE team meetings.

Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field, with 2-4 years of relevant experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (preferably pharmaceutical or similar industries).
