Electrical Engineering Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager with a strong background in Power Distribution and Switchgear. As the Manager within the Design Department, you will lead a team responsible for designing and implementing electrical switchgear systems to meet client project requirements. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical switchgear system designs (layouts, schematics, and BOMs) according to project requirements, including sub-distribution systems.
• Prepare detailed electrical schematics for switchgear, as well as general arrangement layout drawings, using tools such as SEE Electrical and AutoCAD.
• Generate electrical bills of materials (BOMs).
• Draft single-line drawings for tendering purposes.
• Proactively interact with customers, consultants, and internal staff to resolve any technical issues via phone, in person, or via email.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with clients and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a similar field (candidates from a technical background will also be considered).
• Experience with SEE Electrical or similar electrical design software.
• Familiarity with 2D and/or 3D design software.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Open-mindedness to new design technologies aimed at improving the design process.
