Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: County Dublin, Ireland
Contractor Role - 6 months

Purpose
A highly skilled Project Engineer is sought by our client to work autonomously, applying advanced scientific and engineering knowledge to tackle complex assignments. The role involves contributing to the development of innovative principles and concepts across one or more technical fields.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and prepare agendas and reports for PMO meetings, ensuring key stakeholders are fully informed of project progress and any critical issues.
• Support the department’s Long Range Plan (LRP) and Capital Plan submissions by meticulously analysing projects to ensure accuracy and detailed planning.
• Serve as the department spokesperson for projects, providing expert advice to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
• Provide regular project status updates to the Global Packaging team, communicating key issues and progress through well-prepared presentations.
• Manage and maintain the PMO portfolio SharePoint application, ensuring seamless operation and accuracy of data.
• Draft and present project justifications, including Request for Capital Expenditure proposals with detailed savings analysis from safety, quality improvement, capacity expansion, and cost-reduction projects.
• Proactively support the department's long-term strategy and capital planning through accurate project analysis and detailed submissions.

Key Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent technical experience with a proven track record (5+ years) in significant engineering or operational roles.
• Demonstrated expertise across various disciplines with the ability to provide in-depth technical solutions.
• Proven ability to work effectively in diverse teams, maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
• Strong project management capabilities, adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
• Collaborative mindset, skilled in negotiation and resolving differences with a diplomatic approach.
• Experience in the healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceutical, biologics, or related industries is highly desirable.
• Financial acumen, with experience in financial systems and fiscal control processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
