About the Role
An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Controls Engineer to join a leading manufacturing team in Galway. This role, essential for maintaining high standards in a dynamic production environment, is shift-based with 12-hour backend night shifts from 6:30 pm to 6:30 am on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and one Saturday per month. Key Responsibilities

Controls Troubleshooting
Expertly diagnose and resolve issues on automated manufacturing equipment, focusing on:- PLCs: Specialised experience with Allen Bradley systems
- Vision Systems: Cognex vision system troubleshooting
- Servo Drives: Parker and AB Kinetix
- Robotics: Kuka robotic systems

Electrical Troubleshooting
Utilise strong electrical diagnostic skills to address issues within automated manufacturing electrical panels and support smooth operational workflows. -
Maintenance and Equipment Support
Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure rapid troubleshooting and reduce downtime, maintaining optimal equipment performance. -
PC Hardware Troubleshooting (Desirable)
Provide additional support in diagnosing basic PC hardware issues when necessary.
Essential Requirements

Experience: Previous experience in a maintenance department supporting automated manufacturing equipment is essential.

Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in controls troubleshooting, particularly with Allen Bradley PLCs, Cognex vision systems, Parker and AB Kinetix Servo Drives, and Kuka robotics.
- Proven electrical troubleshooting skills in automated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with PC hardware troubleshooting is advantageous.
