Production Group Leader II (Evenings)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a team of approximately 15 production operators, providing guidance and mentorship through effective frontline leadership.
• Ensure all work instructions and quality standards are clearly defined, accurate, and consistently followed; assist in updating documentation as necessary.
• Maintain compliance with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Kanban, 5S, Hourly Tracking) and ensure team members understand and apply these practices.
• Address people management issues effectively in line with established policies and procedures; conduct performance reviews for team members.
• Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, output, quality, and productivity.
• Perform standard work audits, identify issues, and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Contribute actively to improvement systems by completing assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Encourage and support the team in submitting and implementing ideas for continuous improvement and workplace safety enhancements.
• Participate in the hiring process, including interviewing and selecting new team members.
• Take on additional duties as needed to support overall operational goals.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a line lead, team leader, or similar supervisory role.
• Background in medical device manufacturing or a similar environment is preferred.
• Ability to learn and understand production workflows and steps.
• Strong understanding of work content assessment and line balancing.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A proactive attitude with a focus on meeting internal and external customer needs.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and efficiency.
