Senior Manager, EH&S - Global Hazardous Materials We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, EH&S - Global Hazardous Materials for our client, a leading global organization. This role will develop strategies to manage hazardous materials across global operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute global hazardous materials management strategies aligned with safety, sustainability, and regulatory requirements. Create a 3-5 year plan anticipating regulatory changes and business growth.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with international, national, and local hazardous materials regulations. Monitor changes in legislation and represent the organization in industry associations.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to hazardous materials. Implement emergency response procedures as needed.
- Policy Development: Establish global policies for the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Manage inventory controls and material lifecycle.
- Training & Education: Lead training programs on hazardous materials safety, ensuring regulatory compliance and appropriate staff qualifications.
- Incident Response: Implement a global incident reporting system. Lead investigations and corrective actions for hazardous materials incidents.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a subject matter expert for senior leadership.
- Sustainability Support: Promote reduction and safe management of hazardous materials to align with sustainability initiatives, including life cycle assessments.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and assurance programs to evaluate the effectiveness of hazardous materials management globally.
- Bachelor’s in Science, Chemistry, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years in hazardous materials management, including 5+ years in leadership. International experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of global hazardous materials regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. HAZOP experience is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in Hazardous Materials Management or Industrial Hygiene are advantageous.
- Analytical: Ability to develop strategic solutions from complex data.
- Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proactive: Self-motivated and solutions-focused.
- Collaborative: Strong interpersonal skills with stakeholder engagement.
- Independent: Ability to prioritize tasks and drive projects to completion.
- Travel: Up to 5% on an as-needed basis.
