HERO Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Utilities Engineer to join a leading biopharmaceutical company in Ireland. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation, compliance, and continuous improvement of clean utility systems within a cGMP environment.

About the Role:

• Lead the operation and maintenance of clean utility systems, including water, steam, compressed air, and HVAC.
• Champion a culture of safety by promoting safe work practices and participating in safety audits, hazard reviews, and pre-startup safety reviews.
• Serve as a technical expert, troubleshooting equipment issues and optimizing utility system performance for maximum efficiency.
• Ensure the ongoing qualified state of clean utility systems through meticulous documentation, effective root cause analysis, and proactive maintenance strategies.
• Lead IQ/OQ/PQ activities for new equipment and manage system/component classification for optimal maintenance practices.
• Develop and manage capital project scopes to address equipment reliability and enhance overall operations.
• Coach and train operators and technicians on proper equipment use and maintenance procedures.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost unit operations and equipment performance.
• Foster strong communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders across all levels.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Utilities Engineering, preferably within a biopharmaceutical or other GMP-regulated environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of clean utility systems, HVAC, and potentially black utility systems or electrical systems.
• A demonstrated commitment to safety with excellent safety protocols and knowledge.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and results-oriented with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to travel for projects and training.
