This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement sophisticated automation solutions for a leading manufacturing company. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and integrating control systems for a high-volume, 24/7 validated production environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and integrate advanced machine design control systems, including servo motion and high-speed device integration.
  • Create, test, and install robust PLC and control software for a cutting-edge production environment.
  • Develop comprehensive User, Functional, and Detailed Design Specifications.
  • Write high-quality, well-documented PLC and HMI code.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Provide technical leadership and make informed decisions on hardware and architecture selection.
  • Champion innovation and develop creative solutions to improve control systems.
  • Expertly troubleshoot complex automation equipment.
  • Maintain thorough and compliant documentation as per Medical Device standards.
  • Uphold a strong cultural code of conduct.
  • Ensure effective closure on Quality System documentation and NC/CAPA actions.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to strict deadlines.

Primary Tasks:

  • Develop machine control software involving servo, pneumatic, and data control functionalities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various departments to achieve project goals and maintain quality standards.
  • Develop, debug, and validate Control System software programs.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and modify automation software to resolve issues effectively.
  • Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to overcome technical challenges.
  • Organize, plan, and execute tasks meticulously to ensure timely and budget-conscious project completion.
  • Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Document work clearly and concisely.
  • Communicate effectively and provide technical expertise to colleagues.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
  • Show meticulous attention to detail.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5-6 years of experience working with automated control systems within a machine design team.
  • Strong PLC background in Allen Bradley ControlLogix 5000, Allen Bradley Guard Logix, APT, Siemens S7, Elau, Pilz Safety PLCs, and Wonderware Intouch/ArchestrA, FactoryTalk View HMI software.
  • Experience working in a validated environment with a strong focus on change control.
  • Additional knowledge of Servo Motion Control, printer systems, vision systems, robotics, BCR, data analytics, and RFID systems is a plus.
